BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police have made an arrest in the investigation into two business robberies in which the suspect waited for an employee to open the register and he grabbed money from it.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Christopher Rosaya, 28, of Gonzales, was found after several Crime Stoppers tips were called in identifying him as the suspect in the robberies.

He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on two counts of simple robbery.

Investigators said the suspect walked into the Circle K in the 4500 block of Plank Road early Monday morning and approached the counter. When the clerk opened the register, he grabbed cash out of the drawer and drove off in a white Chevy Impala.

The second robbery happened Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. Detectives believe the same man pretended to look at the menu of the Jack in the Box in the 2800 block of Scenic Highway, waited for the employee to open the cash drawer, then grabbed money and ran.
