Authorities said an investigation into a woman suspected of selling prescription drugs resulted in three arrests and the seizure of more than $20,000 worth of pills.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office reported Kim Brunty, 45, Trevor David, 19, and Christopher Jones, 35, were taken into custody as a result of the investigation.

Deputies said they received complaints from people claiming Brunty was selling prescription meds and storing stolen property at her home in the Magnolia Estates area of Denham Springs. Narcotics detectives said they made several undercover drug buys of Oxycodone from Brunty at her home.

The sheriff's office reported 1,300 doses, most of which were Oxycodone pills, were seized on October 8 during a search of the home after a warrant was obtained. Authorities said the pills are worth about $24,000. They added several guns and stolen items were also found in the home.

Brunty faces the following charges:

Possession of Schedule 2 CDS (4 counts)

Possession of Schedule 3 CDS (1 count)

Possession of Schedule 4 CDS (3 counts)

Illegal possession of stolen things

Illegal carrying of weapon pen

She remained in the Livingston Parish Detention Center Wednesday morning.

David and Jones were also arrested at Brunty's home. David was booked on one count of possession of marijuana. Jones is charged with illegal possession of stolen things.

Both men have since posted bail and were released. Bond information was not provided on any of the suspects.

Deputies said the investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.
