DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

A Decatur jury has recommended the death penalty in the case of Jordaan Creque, who was found guilty this week in the 2011 Krystal murders.

The all-female jury voted 11-1 to recommend the Decatur man receive the death penalty. Creque remained stone-faced as the judge read the jury's decision.

Last week, the same jury found Creque guilty of capital murder. Decatur Police said Creque and two others fatally shot Jeff Graff and Jessie Aguilar as the two were working the overnight shift at the Decatur Krystal restaurant.

Investigators testified the trio also robbed the restaurant during the Aug. 2011 incident.

Morgan County District Attorney Scott Anderson had strong words following Monday night's verdict.

"Anybody that goes in and robs and kills anybody in this community, the Decatur Police Department, local law enforcement and the DA's Office is going to see that they receive their just punishment," said Anderson.

Following the hearing, Anderson read a statement from the Graff and Aguilar families.

"Thank you to the members of the jury who we are certain have been forever affected by this experience, for their attentiveness and diligence throughout this trial," Anderson read.

A judge will take the jury's recommendation under advisement. Creque's sentencing is scheduled to be held Jan. 15, 2014.
