HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Burglars struck a northwest Huntsville youth center, stealing games, food and cash from the charitable organization.

Huntsville Police were called to the Boys & Girls Club on the 100 block of Mason Court just before 11 a.m. Monday. Thieves took Xbox and Wii game consoles, along with petty cash and food items from the snack bar.

Harold Weatherly of the Boys & Girls Club said, "This hurts the kids. We try to teach them not to do things like this, to be responsible citizens. Now after doing their homework, the children won't have the games to enjoy anymore."

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
