RUSSELLVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A Russellville woman was indicted for aggravated child abuse after authorities said the baby she was watching suffered head injuries.

Consuelo Romero, 35, was arrested after being indicted by a grand jury in September.

Reports said the 16-month-old boy in her care had internal injuries and several skull fractures. Authorities said Romero blamed the baby's injuries on the child's three older siblings that were not home at the time of the injuries.

The baby is currently is good condition and is back home with her parents. Romero was transferred to the Franklin County Jail and is being held on $50,000 bond.
