MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The Papa John's Pizza on Highway 31 in Hartselle scored an 84 with the Morgan County Health Department. The health inspector reported two critical violations at Papa John's, one for a dirty can opener. The inspector also took off points because no one on staff had proof of passing the health department's food safety course.

The Dairy Queen on Highway 72 in Madison scored an 80. The health inspector reported discovering an employee's personal food and their drink on a food prep table. Dairy Queen also lost points because the can opener needed cleaned.

The Stock-n-Save in Decatur also scored an 80. A Morgan County health inspector reported rust in an ice bin, and that salads were held 16-to-18 degrees above the maximum 41F temperature required to prevent bacterial growth in cold-holding foods.

David Gibson's Bar-B-Q in Huntsville is off of the Madison County Health Department's reinspection schedule after improving by 12 points with a 94 during their reinspection.
