Sheriff: Newborn tests positive for drugs, mother arrested

ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A Marshall County woman is in custody after her newborn child tested positive for illegal narcotics.

Ashley Renee Graham, 20 of Albertville, was arrested and charged with chemical endangerment of a child after she was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.

The baby was sent to Children's Hospital in Huntsville to receive specialized treatment and is listed in stable condition.

District Judge Mitch Floyd set bond for Graham at $300,000. She was additionally charged with fraudulent use of a credit card.
