HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Some furloughed Redstone Arsenal employees were called to go back to work.

Redstone officials said that in light of recent Department of Defense recall directives, which recalled 90 percent of its employees, those who had been furloughed may now be recalled to normal duty status.

"Each employee should get specific guidance from their supervisor as to whether this affects them or not," said Colonel Bill Marks, Garrison Commander. "Every employee should remain in close contact with their leadership to understand their unique situation."

Col. Marks said that as more information becomes available, they will do their best to keep everyone notified.

"This is great for morale," said Garrison Command Sergeant Major Kyle Crump. "It's a great feeling, makes everybody feel good."

Over the weekend, Congress approved a plan to give back-pay to anyone who worked during the furlough.
