Decatur police's organized crime unit busted six people for drug sales and use on Friday.

Officers had been investigating this drug operation for several months. Authorities said an apartment in the 1800 block of O'Rorke Lane and an apartment in the 1200 block of Beltline Road SW were connected, and that they were part of a criminal organization dealing with illegal drug sales and use. Decatur police searched both apartments simultaneously on Friday and found drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Decatur police arrested McKinley Bolding, 27, Lakesha Bolding, 27, Yasmeenah Morrow, 29, Jessie Bolding, 25, Tianna Murphy, 33, and Garfield Sutherlin, 63, during this investigation.

Investigators said they determined that McKinley Bolding was the head of the organization. Police said McKinley sold marijuana and crack cocaine multiple times at the above locations.

McKinley Bolding was charged with three counts of drug distribution and possession. Jessie Bolding was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, and resisting arrest after he ran away from officers when they approached the apartment. Lakesha Bolding was charged with possession of a controlled substance, Murphy was charged with possession of marijuana, and Morrow and Sutherlin were charged with loitering in a drug house.

All six suspects were booked into Decatur City Jail, but McKinley Bolding, Jessie Bolding, and Lakesha Bolding were later transferred to Morgan County Jail.

Each suspect is being held on bond: McKinley Bolding has a $15,500 bond, Jessie Bolding has a $4,000 bond, Lakesha Bolding has a $2,500 bond, and Murphy, Morrow and Sutherlin each have a $500 bond.
