10 people indicted across 5 Madison Co. murder cases

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A grand jury in Madison County has delivered a swath of indictments against ten people involved in five separate cases.

Four people have been indicted in the Dec. 2012 shooting death of Larry Christopher "LaChris" Cole. Christopher Baker and Travius Washington were indicted for capital murder; Mardez Hobbs and Dederick Derrick were indicted for murder.

In the Oct. 2012 death of Corey Murray, murder indictments were handed down against Elante Stewart, Deshaun Smith and Deonte McCray.

One man faces a four-count indictment for a Jan. shooting in New Hope which killed Joel Coleman and injured three others. Timothy Goldsmith faces one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder.

Robert McKnight was indicted for murder in the case of Gerald Kuntcman. Deputies in that case said McKnight stabbed his adopted brother during a fight.

Ernesto Lopez was indicted in the Jan. murder of Roderick Oliver, in which the victim was attacked with a shovel.
