GREENHILL, AL (WAFF) -

The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department is on the hunt for a bank robber.

Sheriff Ronnie Willis said a man walked into the First Metro Bank on Highway 43 in Greenhill just before noon Saturday and demanded money.

The man is described as a white male, six feet tall, about 155 pounds. He was wearing sunglasses, a straw hat, green shirt, blue jeans, gloves and tennis shoes.

Authorities said he showed the tellers a semi-automatic pistol and told them to put their money in a plastic Foodland shopping bag they said he was holding. He ran out once he got the cash.

The FBI is also investigating this robbery.
