Huntsville police were on the scene of a single car wreck early Saturday morning. Huntsville police were on the scene of a single car wreck early Saturday morning.
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

An early morning wreck sent one man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Huntsville police responded to a single car wreck at the intersection of Russell Street and Clinton Avenue East around 12:10 a.m. Saturday morning. Police said the car had been going north on Russell Street at a high speed when Kagen Morring, 24, lost control of the car and hit a utility pole. Morring was trapped inside the car until Huntsville firefighters and HEMSI managed to get him out.

Morring was taken to Huntsville Hospital by HEMSI with life-threatening injuries, but he was later in stable condition.

This investigation is ongoing.
