THARPTOWN, AL (WAFF) -

A former elected member of law enforcement in Franklin County accepted a plea agreement that included his removal from office.

Tharptown Constable Ray Hill faced a sexual abuse charge. Investigators said the victim was a 17-year-old girl.

Hill plead guilty to harassment and will serve two years of supervised probation. The plea agreement also stated he must resign from the volunteer fire department, and must not fight his removal from office.

A judge signed off on Hill's impeachment, officially removing him from office.
