Adams Drugs 10th Location Grand Opening

Posted: Updated:

Tom & Emily Vinson opened the original Adams Drugs in 1962 on Adams Avenue across from St. Margaret's hospital. Today Adams Drugs is still locally owned and operated by the Vinson family and since the opening of the initial location Adams has expanded to 10 locations in the River Region.  The 10th store is located at 1633 Perry Hill Road next to Fresh Market and just down from Chappy's Deli.  The location will hold its grand opening on Monday, September 30th at 10AM with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce.  The press is invited to join us, and Mike Vinson will be available for interviews.

The new location features delivery service, and the same great customer service that the customers of Adams Drugs have become accustomed to.  Furthermore, we have a Wellness Clinic at the new location that offers Wellness Screenings for blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, and body mass index (BMI).

The patient can consult with the pharmacist and develop a plan to better manage their healthcare.

Should the test numbers be out of the normal range, the pharmacist could refer you to a medical specialist.

In addition to the Wellness Clinic, the new location offers flu shots on-site and will be billed to the patient's insurance.  If the patient does not have insurance, the cost is only $25.00.

The new gift shop is named Emily B.  Emily B has candles, picture frames, Auburn and Alabama memorabilia, and Beatrice Ball pewter ware.

This pewter ware goes from the oven to the dinner table.

In the midst of all the major stores that have opened in recent years the local pharmacy has begun to disappear.  However, because of their commitment to their customers, Adams Drugs has made sure they can offer services that keep them at the forefront of each person's medical needs.    When someone uses Adams Drugs, seventy-five percent of their money stays in the local economy compared to a little over 20 percent for the major box stores.  In addition, customers will see the same faces time after time, meaning that the Adams pharmacist gets to know them and their families' needs.  Recent price comparisons also show that Adams Drugs prices are among the lowest in the area.
