TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -
The Tuscaloosa community is rallying around a high school senior who was badly injured in a car accident on Sunday.
Olivia Mills is a 17-year-old senior at Sipsey Valley High School in Tuscaloosa County. She's been in a coma at DCH since the accident on Sunday.
Friends say she was leaving church when she wrecked on Highway 82.
Her friends and family have started a Facebook group called "Pray for Olivia Mills." It currently has over 18,000 'likes'.
Friends and relatives are giving daily updates on her condition on Facebook. One of the most recent posts said her fluid levels were better this morning. Another post said she will be coming off of her medication this afternoon, and the family is asking for prayer that doctors will be able to see brain activitiy.
Olivia was elected to Sipsey Valley's homecoming court this Friday night but the school has chosen to postpone all homecoming festivities for two weeks.
Monday morning, Sipsey Valley students met at the flag pole to pray for Olivia.
Teachers say students from all of the high schools in Tuscaloosa County have been showing their support for Olivia. On Wednesday, students at Tuscaloosa County High had their own prayer service at the flag pole.
Olivia's friends and family are also using the hashtag #PrayForFliv to show their support for Olivia on Twitter.
