Single-vehicle crash claims life of young Montgomery woman

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Officials say a young woman has died after being involved in a single-vehicle crash.

Alabama State Troopers say at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday 23-year-old Caitlyn Wiggins was killed when the 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.

Troopers say the accident occurred on U.S. 231 southbound at the 99 mile marker.

No other information has been given as state troopers continue to investigate.

    A ground search ensued that lasted about four hours and covered approximately six miles, ending a few hundred yards east of Hays Mill Road where the suspects were caught in a hunting stand/shoot house.
