FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

It's been nearly two months since police found a Shoals woman murdered inside the City Lodge Motel. Now, her family is speaking out searching for answers.

Lula Addison's family said they won't be able to rest until their mother's killer is behind bars.

Lula's three children: Natasha, Robert and Lasonia said that not a day goes by that they don't think of their mother. They say she loved to make people laugh and would help anyone in need. But behind the smiles of her memory sit three heavy hearts wanting answers to their mother's murder.

Florence police found Addison's body inside a City Lodge Motel room on July 29th. Since then no arrests have been made in the case and police have released limited information.

Investigators said they are looking for a person of interest in the case. Police believe Eugene "Gene" Lee Jones is homeless and living in the Birmingham area.

Lula's children said they want justice for their mother and they won't stop fighting for her.

"That's what she would do, that's what she would do for any body for us that what she would do she wouldn't give up she wouldn't stop trying until something happened.

A candlelight vigil will be held Thursday night in Wilson Park from 7-9. Family and friends said this is a way to remember Lula Addison and pray for answers.
