Three women were injured in a shooting Monday night and Tuscaloosa police are now searching for the suspected shooter.
Officers responded to a shooting in the 2900 block of 22nd Street in Tuscaloosa around 6:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23. At the location, they found a 28-year-old woman had been struck by several pellets from a shotgun.
Authorities continued to investigate and found that two other women, both 20 years old, were also struck by shotgun pellets. All three women were treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
Police say the shooter also fired shots into an occupied residence and an unoccupied vehicle. Witnesses helped police identify the shooter as Robert Lee Sudduth, 27.
Tuscaloosa authorities believe the shooting was the result of an argument between the 28-year-old victim and Suddoth and his friends.
Suddoth is wanted on warrants for attempted murder, two counts of second degree assault, shooting into an occupied residence and shooting into an unoccupied vehicle.
He has not yet been arrested. Anyone with information about Suddoth's location is asked to call the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit at 205-349-0518.
