LINCOLN COUNTY, TN (WAFF) -

Duck River Electric customers will be without power for about four hours, beginning at 12 a.m. Sunday.

The outage will affect all of Moore County and parts of Lincoln County around Booneville. Power is being cut to allow Duck River and the Tennessee Valley Authority to perform system maintenance.

If you rely on medical equipment dependent on electricity, have a plan to maintain use of your equipment during the outage. Charge cell phones ahead of time; cordless phones will not work during the outage. It is recommended that you unplug computers, TVs, and other sensitive electronics.

Notify your home security company, and know how to manually operate garage doors and electric gates. Minimize opening fridges and freezers while the power is out. If you have a generator, make sure it has been installed properly, and have a reserve of water on hand.

Call 911 if you have an emergency.
