A Decatur man is behind bars tonight after he was arrested for trafficking synthetic marijuana, also known as spice.

The Decatur Police Department's Special Operations Unit executed a search warrant on Sparrow Road on Sept. 18 and found more than 600 packs of spice with a street value of about $20,000. More than a dozen different types of the synthetic pot were confiscated from the residence.

28-year old Avery Terrell Cordle was charged with trafficking in controlled substance analogs and loitering.

He was transported to the Decatur City Jail and will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $5,500 bond.
