DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Decatur police arrested a woman for allegedly selling Xanax at Riverfest last weekend.

According to a police report, a witness told officers that a woman working with one of the vendors was selling the prescription medication.

Officers approached the woman, identified as Christy Lashay Reed, and asked to speak with her. When she tried standing up, she almost fell over, according to police.

Investigators said she staggered when trying to walk with officers. They also found that Reed was storing the Xanax in her vehicle.

Reed was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication. She was booked into jail on a $3,000 bond.
