ELLENWOOD, GA (CBS46) -

Family and friends continue to wait anxiously for authorities to find a 14-year-old girl abducted by armed men during a home invasion early Tuesday morning in Ellenwood.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued a Levi's Call for the girl, identified as Ayvani Hope Perez. She is 4'9", weighs 93 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing blue and gray Star Wars pajama bottoms.

Clayton County police said the men broke into a home on Brookgate Drive at about 2:15 a.m.

"The mother actually tried to hide the two kids," said Officer Phong Nguyen. "There was a little dog in the house that started barking. So the intruder shot the dog. They demanded money and jewelry from the mother, at which time she didn't have any money or jewelry, so she told them that. Instead, they kidnapped the 14-year-old girl."

She was last seen in a gray car, possibly a Dodge or Chevrolet.

Friends of the abducted teenager held a vigil at Dutchtown High School Tuesday night as they prayed for her safe return.

Savannah Thornton, who has known Ayvani since middle school, was one of more than 100 students and parents to attend the vigil.

"There's no reason to break into somebody's house and take a child who has nothing to do with them," Thornton said.

Frankie Parker, who attended Dutchtown Middle School with Ayvani, said friends and former classmates are frightened.

"It's scary. It could happen to any one of us, but it happened to her, and that's really devastating," Parker said.
