Shooter at large after east Toledo shooting

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

One person was taken to the hospital Monday night after a shooting in east Toledo.

The incident occurred in the 800 block of Rogers, near Navarre Avenue, around 9:15 p.m. Police say it appears the shooting was in front of a store. They say Joshua Hainer was walking on Rogers when he was approached by three men who he says tried to sell him earrings. When he declined, he says one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot multiple times.

Hainer was hit twice and rushed to the hospital. Police say he is expected to survive.
