MADISON, AL (WAFF) -

Madison Police and firefighters were on the scene of a vehicle fire on I-565 near the airport exit on Saturday morning.

Authorities advised drivers to avoid I-565 and Glenn Hearn Boulevard, blocking off the westbound lane of I-565. Traffic was backed up to the Wall Triana exit, and there was blockage in the roadway.

An SUV was totally lost in the flames. The fire did not spread to the trailer attached to the car.

Madison Police reopened I-565 and Glenn Hearn Boulevard/Airport exit about 90 minutes later.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
