Daniel Wade Moore released from prison

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Daniel Wade Moore is a free man.

Moore has been released from prison after serving time for a botched burglary in Decatur last year, according to Alabama Department of Corrections officials.

He was acquitted in 2009 of capital murder in the 1999 death of Karen Tipton of Madison. It was the third time he went on trial for the crime. The acquittal came after a conviction – which was overturned - and then a hung jury.

Moore was given an eight-year sentence after pleading guilty for the attempted burglary of Wally World convenience store on Danville Road in June 2012. His sentence also included eight years probation.
