Woman arrested after allegedly picking up wallet

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

"Finder's keeper's" didn't apply to a Danville woman who allegedly picked up a wallet left at a grocery store.

Decatur police said a woman left her wallet on a counter at the Kroger store, 1101 Beltline Road on Aug. 7. The woman then filed a report after she found out another woman came up to the counter later and took the wallet.

Cheree Janelle Jordan, 30, was identified as the suspect, police said, and was charged with theft Monday. Jordan was booked into the Decatur City Jail and transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bond.
