Posted: Updated:
LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A Limestone County man accused of killing his grandmother will not go to trial this week.

A judge delayed the murder trial for James Pigg. Investigators said Pigg killed his grandmother, Barbara Delaney, in March 2012.

Authorities said Pigg hit Delaney in the head several times with a hammer and then shot her.

No word yet on a new trial date.
