Hacked I-75 sign warns drivers of 'loose gorilla'

SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

WNEM.com has a somewhat strange but funny story to relay.

Sometime Friday night, a Michigan Department of Transportation information sign was hacked along I-75. The sign was warning motorists that "I-75 is closed due to loose gorilla."

The sign was near River Road near the Zilwaukee Bridge. The sign was corrected by 7 a.m. on Saturday.

MDOT says it is still trying to determine how it happened and will try to keep it from happening again.
