HPD, FBI seek witness to bank robbery

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Huntsville Police believe a witness may have seen the suspect in a bank robbery escape Friday.

Officers said a middle-aged man armed with a gun walked into the bank, handed a teller a note, and then exited the building after getting an undisclosed amount of money.

The description of the lone suspect based off of security camera footage is a white male, approximately 5'10 to 6'0 in height, slender build, glasses, in his 40's. He was wearing a white and tan baseball hat and a black short-sleeve shirt.

Investigators believe a witness saw the suspect get into a vehicle as he fled the bank. They do not know the identify of the witness. If you or someone you know witnessed the robbery, you are asked to call the Huntsville Police Department at 256-53-CRIME, or the FBI at 205-326-6166.
