(WOIO) -

19 Action News Reporter Scott Taylor is learning more about the inside of Ariel Castro's cell at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient, Ohio.

Castro's cell was just over 8 feet by 8 feet and had only a single bunk. He was allowed a uniform, a bed sheet and hygiene products.

He was not on suicide watch and he did use his bed sheet to hang himself.

Taylor's sources inside the prison system say that Castro never mentioned one word of killing himself while being locked up inside the prison. But Castro did talk about killing himself in a letter he wrote and the FBI found inside his Seymour Avenue house.

Castro wrote the letter in 2004 - just two days after kidnapping Gina DeJesus. He talked about how sick he was, and said he was also depressed. Castro also revealed details about out how he captured DeJesus, Michelle Knight and Amanda Berry.

Taylor has been told that Berry, Knight and DeJesus will not make any comment regarding the suicide - for now.
