In Ravenna: Burglary at Fortis College

RAVENNA, OH (WOIO) -

Ravenna Police report that a burglary took place at the Fortis College on Enterprise Parkway.

It happened on Friday, August 30, at 6:24 a.m.

When officers spoke with a female victim who stated she had been attacked inside the building and during the attack, a small fire was started in a hall way.

The origin of the fire is under investigation.

Officers say that the female victim, an employee of Fortis College, ran from the building to the Paris Healthcare building for help.

Paris Healthcare employees extinguished the fire before the fire department arrived.

The female victim was transported to the hospital after receiving treatment at the scene for non-life threatening injuries including burns.

Police officers checked the interior and exterior of the Fortis College building and did not find a suspect.

Ravenna Police and the Portage County Arson Investigation Unit have been assigned to this case.

The State Fire Marshall Lab will analyze evidence collected.
