Crime Stoppers: Card drained, tank filled

Security footage of our suspect at the gas station. Security footage of our suspect at the gas station.

A person's credit card made a shopping trip to a Huntsville Home Depot. The problem is, the card was in somebody else's hands. But we have a look at those hands.

Home Depot's slogan is "More Saving. More Doing," but what the woman with her back to the surveillance camera is doing isn't saving a certain credit card holder. It's costing them.

Police said the thief seen at the self checkout is swiping a credit card that had been swiped earlier in the day. Among this crook's illegal haul is a $500 dollar gift card and 64 ounces of drain cleaner.

In other words, the victim's money is going down the drain.

But police said during her shopping spree, she used up gasoline. So this thief headed directly across Memorial Parkway to a Shell gas station and "filled her up." The thief bought a tank of gas compliments of the victim.

We never get a clear look at the crook's face via surveillance video. She appears to have very long hair, wearing a T-shirt, gray tights and red shoes. But if you know who she is, you'll get a nice clear look at a stack of cash.

Make the anonymous phone call to 256-53-CRIME (27463).

Or text or e-mail your anonymous tips. To do that, head to our Crime Stoppers section.

If we can get her name, there's a reward of up to $1,000 with your name on it.
