FYFFE, AL (WAFF) -

It's been 20 years since the sightings of UFO's in the DeKalb County town of Fyffe.

Saturday will bring a celebration of that. Preparation for vendors began Friday morning at Fyffe Town Park in anticipation of "UFO Days." Saturday kicks off with a hot-air balloon race. Live music begins at 10 a.m. and runs all day long, concluding with a big band at 8:30 p.m.

While lots of fun is planned, talk of UFO's will be limited. "Some like to discuss it," said organizer CJ Jolley. "Some are ashamed to discuss it. But it was Fyffe's claim to fame. I think we were so famous that year that we made Johnny Carson's monologue."

Gates open at 9 a.m. and the event is free to the public.
