Attempt to hide from deputies leads to man's arrest

Posted: Updated:

A Pleasant Groves man ran but he couldn't hide from Jackson County deputies who arrested him on outstanding arrest warrants Thursday.

Kerry Don Wilson, 22, was charged with unlawful manufacture of controlled substances and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia when deputies allegedly found a meth lab in the home where he was hiding. Wilson was also arrested on the outstanding warrant and charged with resisting arrest.

The sheriff's office received information about Wilson's whereabouts and went to a home on County Road 8 in Pleasant Groves. There, deputies found Wilson hiding in a room with Whitney Paige Rollins, 19. Officers found Rollins first who allegedly told them Wilson had escaped through a hole in the floor. But officers found Wilson in the same room.

Rollins, also of Pleasant Groves, was charged with hindering prosecution, unlawful manufacture of controlled substances and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wilson and and Rollins were out on bond on other charges but are being held in the Jackson County Jail pending a possible bond revocation hearing.
