There has been significant progress in technology developments in Louisiana schools, as reflected in a report released by the Louisiana Department of Education.

The report shows 80 percent of schools now meet the minimum tech-ready standard of one computing device for every seven students.

A total of 37 districts now meet the standard, as compared to only five last year.

School districts in Ascension, East Baton Rouge, Iberville, St. James and St. Helena parishes have improved to the excellent standard of a three to one ratio.
