TUSCUMBIA, AL (WAFF) -

Tuscumbia Police busted a multi-county theft ring that landed four people in jail.

Police arrested 31-year-old Charles Dryer, 25-year-old Joshua Hubbert, 29-year-old Cassie Gilliland, and 23-year-old Brandy McCulley. All four face charges of receiving stolen property.

Police said the group was selling stolen four-wheelers and trailers at a sell spot along Highway 72.

Investigators said a FedEx driver saw the off-road vehicles and called police because they looked similar to his friend's that were stolen.

Police connected the four-wheelers to thefts in Cullman County and the trailers to thefts in Winston County.

"We always talk about how important the community's eyes and ears are for us. Here's an alert FedEx driver who just in his normal daily rounds saw something that looked like he recognized as a friend's vehicle and called us and because of that we were able to make the cases," said Tuscumbia Police Chief Tony Logan.

Police believe the group could be connected to thefts in Mississippi.
