HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Friends and family of Alonzo McGhee are hoping new billboards will help bring an arrest in his murder investigation.

In the next few days, billboards will be going up in six different locations in Madison and Huntsville.

Attorney Mark McDaniel's firm handled McGhee's divorce. McGhee was fatally shot days after it was finalized. Huntsville Police never made an arrest and have asked the public for help with information that could lead to the killer.

"We will not give up. This thing will not go away," said McDaniel. "We're putting up billboards and we're asking people to come forward. For those people that have information on this don't think for one second that the person that killed Alonzo McGhee won't turn on you."

Alonzo McGhee's murder was the first homicide of 2013 in Huntsville. A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
