Pilot killed in UPS crash to be laid to rest Tues.

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WAFF) -

Funeral arrangements have been made for the captain of the ill-fated UPS cargo plane which crashed in Birmingham on Wednesday.

Cerea Beal Jr. will be laid to rest Tuesday in North Carolina, where he lived. The 53-year-old was born in Greenville, Mississippi.

He is survived by a wife, three children, and two grandchildren.

Beal and co-pilot Shanda Fanning were killed when UPS Flight 1354 crashed at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth Airport. The National Transportation Safety Board is continuing their investigation at the crash site.
