HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

With two days remaining of summer vacation before kids start filling up classrooms across Madison County, it was time for a big back-to-school party.

Community Awareness for Youth, or CAFY, organized the third annual event to help ease the back-to-school blahs, with the help of the Huntsville Police Department. There were lots of fun, games and food on hand, plus a positive message to send out to the kids.

The group's mission is to prepare youth for success as adults. "It's about our youth getting information to be successful in life," said Dr. Harry Hobbs. "It's about this community coming together to offer those resources free. We're very excited about giving them information in the Four Pillars of Success." Those pillars are health, education, careers, and finance.
