COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The family of a Shoals murder victim is asking for help to keep those charged in connection with her death behind bars.

Amanda Taylor was strangled and her body later dismembered. One of the suspects charged in her death could soon be released from jail.

Ashley Greenhill pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution and abuse of a corpse in exchange for testimony against now-convicted killer Ronald Weems. During the trial, Greenhill testified that she helped dispose of Taylor's body and that she didn't want to get involved. Green hill is the suspect who eventually led police to Taylor's remains.

Taylor's father, Billy Leeth, has been actively involved in his daughter's case ever since she went missing. He said his family hasn't really gotten the chance to grieve and move forward like they would hope. "It's a moment when you think that you are going to get some peace out of it for a little while, and then it comes back at you," said Leeth. "You have to remain vigilant and try to keep them in there. It gets tiring."

Leeth is asking for the community's help to keep those responsible for Taylor's death locked up. He asks for people to email the state parole board and demand they remain behind bars. "When one person says something, people don't think a whole lot about it. But when you have voice in numbers, it adds power and strength to anything," said Leeth.

Leeth said he plans to travel to Montgomery on Wednesday for the parole hearing.

If you wish to add your voice to his, you should email victim.services@alabpp.gov and CC debra.bonds@alabpp.gov. Include Greenhill's name and ID number, AIS#264119, in the subject line.
