MONTGOMERY, AL (WAFF) - VictoryLand Casino & Dog Track may have to pay its former employees millions.

A federal appeals court said VictoryLand did not give enough notice to its employees under the Federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Act before closing twice in 2010, to prevent raids by then-Governor Bob Riley's Gambling Task Force.

The law requires 60 days' notice before a mass layoff or closure. The judgment could be worth up to $5 million in pay.
