AUTAUGA CO., AL (WSFA) -

The Autauga County Emergency Management Agency says a culvert has washed out a portion of the roadway at 161 Simmons Road in Prattville.

The area is located near the Prattville airport but outside of city's police jurisdiction.

Some 5 to 6 feet of the road has washed out.

The county's engineering department has a crew on the scene working to repair the issue.

Authorities say the water line feeding some homes is also affected and water will likely remain out until Wednesday.
