Marshall Co. murder suspect found competent for trial

MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A Marshall County man was declared competent to stand trial for the murder of a local business owner.

Wesley Burgess was declared competent Monday afternoon by a circuit judge in Marshall County. Burgess is accused of killing Ricky Moody.

Moody was discovered shot to death outside his Motors for Cash business in Claysville in October 2009.

The trial has been set for September 16.
