JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The Tennessee Valley Authority issued a warning to boaters.

Monday, TVA crews began working on transmission lines from BB Comer Bridge. Boaters are asked to take extra precautions between Tennessee River miles 385 and 386.

Work is scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. and is expected to take at least six days.

Last month, a boater died after being hit by a TVA line on the Tennessee River in Decatur.

TVA crews were replacing lines that stretched across the river when one of the lines fell into the water.

As they were raising the line, a boat came through and the line hit and killed 65-year-old Anthony Szozda.
