HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Prosecutors rested their case after showing three different videos in the Samuel Ward case.

Ward is charged with the attempted murder in connection with a December 2011 shooting.

Monday, the two Huntsville Police officers testified they smelled marijuana coming from Ward's car. When he refused to get out of the vehicle, the officers said Ward fought them, pulled out a gun and tried to shoot them.

They then shot Ward five times.

Ward decided not to testify Tuesday, and the defense rested. The jury could made a decision later in the afternoon.

Ward faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
