Posted: Updated:

Florence Police arrested a Killen man in connection with a burglary.

Joshua Ray Hicks, 31, of Killen was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, second degree theft, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful drug paraphernalia after police say he was seen on video burglarizing a vehicle at the Shell gas station on Florence Boulevard.

An officer responded to the gas station at the intersection of Glendale and Florence Boulevard early Monday morning and got video of the crime as it was happening. The video was posted online, and tips came in to the department.

Monday afternoon, the officer noticed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect and stopped the driver to investigate.

Hicks was arrested and the victim's property was recovered less than 12 hours after it happened.

Hicks is being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
