Cows were wandering on Interstate 65 in Giles County, Tennessee Saturday afternoon, causing a big traffic backup.
According to an alert sent out by the Tennessee Department of Transportation, a tractor trailer overturned at mile marker 17 around 2 p.m. Giles County Rescue Squad reported two vehicles were involved, including the 18-wheeler, which was carrying 63 head of cattle at the time of the accident.
A viewer sent in these pictures of the wreck. Traffic was down to one lane going northbound while crews worked to clear the interstate.
According to reports, traffic was backed up at least four miles.
Two people were transported to Hillside Hospital with unknown injuries.
