FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

Authorities released new details in a Shoals homicide investigation. Police said the victim found inside a Florence hotel Monday afternoon, was not a registered guest.

Police said they found 54-year-old Lula Addison's body in a "suspicious location" in a room on the third floor inside the City Lodge hotel in Florence.

Investigators removed several pieces of furniture from the room including a bed frame and mattress set. Most of the evidence taken from the room has been sent to a forensic's lab for testing.

Police have not released a preliminary cause of death at this time.
