NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A former football player for the Tennessee Volunteers and Dallas Cowboys is charged with drinking and driving in Nashville.

Metro police stopped Cory Fleming early Thursday on Bell Road because his headlights weren't on.

According to police, Fleming then failed a sobriety test and the officer also found what appeared to be alcohol in a Gatorade bottle on the floor by the passenger seat.

Fleming, who also played for the Nashville Kats, was released on bond, and he is due in court later this month.
