Hearing date set for woman charged in hit-and-run

MADISON, AL (WAFF) -

The woman accused of hitting a bicyclist in a hit-and-run has a hearing set for next month.

Officers said Bethany Schrimsher hit Richard Claus II on Madison Boulevard the morning of July 8th and then took off after the wreck.

Claus is still recovering from a ruptured spleen and several broken bones.

Schrimsher's hearing is set for August 21st.
